These positions will be assigned to C-Shift and D-Shift (12-hour nights). Training will take place on day shift (Monday-Friday). The Lead assist with all departmental operations, decision-making responsibilities, staffing and coverage needs focused on incoming shipments and inventory of raw materials. Reports non-conformances concerning product safety, quality, and legality. Adjusts where applicable to remedy.

Day-to-Day Role:

Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required.Comply with Dart Container's policies and procedures.Oversee day to day operations of the Materials Handling department including coordinating and prioritizing daily tasks and assignments for staff.Conduct adequate staffing and coverage of areas in order to achieve smooth operations.Coordinate with Production Supervisors/Leads and Schedulers to meet production schedule requirements.

Unload and load all raw material deliveries from vendors, plants, other DCs and ensure the accuracy of the amount received.Inspect all material deliveries for quality that meets the company standards.Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and receipt of raw materials.Inspect all raw materials in order to ensure accuracy and quality when received from vendors.

Ensure all SAP transactions for the assigned shift are accurate and timely.Take necessary steps to address any discrepancies.Conduct proper training of department staff and ensure that all employees have an understanding of safety rules.

Follow all BRC guidelines including safety.Conduct overall cleanliness of area for their shift staff at a level acceptable to BRC standards.Assist with the movement of materials, as needed.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues.Ability to work overtime as needed.Ability to work weekends as needed.One (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license within a reasonable amount of time.Knowledge of inventory systems preferred.
