Sally Labrador Retriever Young Female for sale in Baltimore, Maryland

Sally's story
Sally is a 10-month-old spayed female yellow lab. Sally weighs 45 pounds and is up to date on shots.
She is approved for kids 6 and up.
Sally fka Honey Bea was returned after her adopter's work schedule changed and she could not come home mid-day. She is a beautiful, petite girl! At ten months, Sally needs more exercise than she was provided (walks and occasional trips to the dog park). Sally has worked some with a trainer, but the family did not reinforce the lessons, so her new family will need to commit to not just training classes, but homework! She is still at the age where she explores a bit too much with her mouth so she needs lots of chew toys and redirection. Sally would benefit from another dog to help tire her out and teach her the ropes. She can still be mouthy and dogs generally have a better way of communicating what is inappropriate than do people. She does get excited when she sees other people and animals and pulls on the leash, but would do better in an EZ Walk harness with a tuneup on leash walking manners. When Sally receives adequate exercise and direction, she is a very sweet girl. Sally is housebroken and crate trained. Sally hasn't shown much interest in retrieving, but she also has had limited opportunity.
UPDATE: Sally FKA Honey Bea is getting very comfortable in her new foster home. She is definitely house trained and whines at the door to be let out. We had a nice walk today and saw 2 cats along the way

she completely ignored the first one, Im not even sure she noticed it as she was so busy sniffing the ground. She saw the 2nd one and her ears pricked up, but she did not tug at the leash

she was just interested in it. She definitely tugs after the squirrels though. She definitely will require additional leash training. The Easy-Walk harness is a must have. We will continue to work with her leash skills. She definitely knows sit and we are working on down and stay and wait

I can tell she is very smart, but will require a lot of consistency with the training. She comes most of the time, shes figured out that she gets a little treat when she comes in and sits by the treat bowl.
She also sits nicely for her food bowl, but has not mastered the wait until the bowl gets set down

and she does gobble the food right up. She enjoys playing with the resident 140 lb dog! Sally is a little bundle of energy and is very happy to have a young energetic pup to play with in her foster home and after they play she is ready for a nice long nap! She is a dream in the car.
Sally is one active little girl who would benefit from another dog to tire her out. She did great at the dog park, running and playing with the herd, but really needs more than an hour or two of play occasionally. She can jump lower fences, so we have updated her requirements to include a 6 fence. She has been pretty good with the resident senior lab, but he can only handle so much puppy energy. She did quiet down and snuggle one evening after a long work out, but she does need a lot of activity to wear her down to cuddling mode. Sally is also very enthusiastic about eating and drinking, so we suggest a slow feeder bowl and supplementing her water with ice cubes to slow her down. We have found out that Sally retrieves, but is not all that keen in returning her prey to you.
