Bear #3 Labrador Retriever Adult Male for sale in Baltimore, Maryland

Bear #3's story
BEAR is an 8-year-old neutered male black lab. Bear weighs 100 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION Bear arrived at his foster's home and has no problem with the stairs. Bear is centerfold gorgeous and has a demeanor to match; he is 8 years old and tips the scales at one hundred pounds (although he has learned to like green beans). He is cuddly and likes to follow you around. He is good on a leash, although he was somewhat protective of his mom; he would bark for the first minute someone came in the house, but after that, he was their best friend. Bear doesn't have a high exercise requirement- in fact he has a reputation for being somewhat lazy. Bear is good with other dogs, and has spent time with other family members, small dogs and cats. He doesn't pay much attention to furry little critters, but did get excited when birds would fly in an open window. Sudden or loud noises don't phase this guy at all- he remains cool, calm and collected at all times. He knows the rules of indoor living and hasn't used a crate for years.
Bear was adopted as a youngster, but his adopter had to combine households with her mother and the apartment had a weight restriction that is significantly less than Bear's weight.
Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
Fencing: No Fence Required; trained to an efence
Bear is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. For now, to avoid this, we are limiting placement to standalone, single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. After Bear has been in a foster home for at least a week or two, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and will send out an update.
